Bicycle Friendly Businesses
The Lambton County Regional Trails Committee believes that active residents are healthier residents and that Bicycle Friendly Businesses have the potential to enhance the health of our community.
Bicycle friendly businesses also make economic sense. In fact some studies have shown that people who biked and walked to an area reported that they spent more money in the area per month than those who drove there.1
Bicycle Friendly workplaces also make business sense. Employees that cycle to work tend to be healthier, more productive and have fewer absences due to illness each year than non-cycling commuters. |
