Walpole Island First Nation hosts a unique ecosystem of world class wetlands, Carolinian Zone Forest, rare oak-savanna sites, and tallgrass prairie. The island is home to many rare species of flora and fauna, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. The trail begins at the Snye Bridge and ends at the Walpole Island - Algonac Ferry.
